The Climate Change Coalition is a new political party. Green Left Weekly’s Zane Alcorn spoke to CCC candidate Dr Karl Kruszelnicki, who is running for the Senate in New South Wales.

RE Dr Karl Kruszelnicki from GLW link -
"I see geosequestration as a useful short-term thing. In 10 years we will probably still be burning coal so the question is whether we catch the emissions or just release them. But you can't keep doing that forever."
Both so called 'clean coal technology' [sic] and geosequestration aka 'carbon capture & storage' are fallacies.
Both are prohibitively expensive and neither actually achieves the desired results.
Both fables are just coal industry filibuster trying to avoid the inevitable.
Considering CCC has preferenced Pauline Hanson and Family First

Brett Svendsen is a Councillor for the Shire of Livingstone in Central Queensland.
Livingstone is the Shire responsible for the land on which the Shoalwater Bay (Military) Training Area (SWBTA) is situated.
Many of you are aware that Operation Talisman Sabre 2007, a joint training exercise between Australian and US forces, is due to begin at SWBTA later this year.
To me, the dots are clearly joined in the real "war on terror".
... the removal of Howard, Bush, and Blaire from total power and control of our planet and her people.
Look at the "war games" (Operation Talisman Saber 2007) as a perfect example.

The US Governments' Military needs "sites" to continue in its global aims for domination via militarisation and continued promotion of privatisation and the unabated consumption of our planet's precious natural resources (which are, of course - finite).

HOWARD LIVING IN NUCLEAR FAIRYLAND
Mr Howard's announcement that Australia must 'consider' nuclear
power as a solution to the climate change issue shows that he either
does not know or does not care about the arguments that have been
raised against nuclear power for decades. They display a degree of
ignorance - or worse, ideological bias - that ill-fits a prime
minister, who clearly does not understand the realities of nuclear
power. He is living in a nuclear fairyland.
According to Friends of the Earth,
As the earth's surface burgeons with her current human habitation and linked deadly emissions (and cross linked diseases and natural disasters), the light towards the way forwards for our race can appear very dim at times.
Whenever this happens I warmly remember all of the tiny victories of the past and reflect with excitement at the level of technological expertise we humans currently possess. How easy it can be for all of us all if we simply embrace sustainable energy supplies.
an article i think worthy of a comment or two...

here is my 2 bob's worth:
i have long since ignored any form of disagreement with the facts and figures, the science and with my own eyewitness accounts of the dire future we face if we ignore Climate Change and we continue to consume our planet's resources at todays rates. Being led by a bunch of liars on a fast track into our own extinction as a species.
