here is my 2 bob's worth:

i have long since ignored any form of disagreement with the facts and figures, the science and with my own eyewitness accounts of the dire future we face if we ignore Climate Change and we continue to consume our planet's resources at todays rates. Being led by a bunch of liars on a fast track into our own extinction as a species.

To NOW mitigate the WORST effects of Climate Change it will take a lot more than changing over our light globes and switching to a water saving shower head.

We do need household improvements, Yes... and we need them immediately....
and i hope each and every one of the people reading this post are doing the ABSOLUTE best they can, and constanly trying to improve their "carbon footprints".

But a candle in the wind will not help to the extent that is necessary.

Big business must toe the line, and it is up to our elected representatives to ensure they do, or are SHUT DOWN asap, for the sake, safety and future of their citizens.

We must have a smooth transition into sustainable energy supplies if our children are to have any hope for survival, and we must do so now.

Whoever is voted into power in the next election must be ready, willing and able to IMMEDIATELY implement sustainable energy and water supply solutions for the global human populations. Water and energy solutions that can give back (via recycling waste and feedback of sustainable energy into the grid).

We need to implement a system of energy and water supply (and return) that is environmentally "benign".
AND we have the technologies at our fingertips waiting to be installed onto our homes and businesses... if only we had hold of our OWN taxes to do it, we could!

If we continue down the same path and revert to the "quick fix" that lines the pockets of multinational corporations with little regard for the people affected we will simply remain heading down a direct road to our own oblivion.

Is this what the citizens of this planet really want?
No.

And our elected representatives are getting nervous.

Will you DEMAND to see your elected representatives use YOUR TAXES in the most responsible way they can to ensure our planet will survive into the next generation? By pressuring them into investing YOUR taxes into a sustainable future for your children, ensuring also, the safety of your grandchildren.

If your elected representatives are too corrupt to do something... VOTE THEM OUT OF POWER!

Let us hope that by the next election there is a party out there who will stand for the truth in the huge issue of Climate Change and are WORTHY of the honour of our votes.
