Petition for Land Rights For All Aborigines to the Australian Government

Wording:

Most of the native title lands in Australia that have been returned to Indigenous traditional owners are in the deserts of the Northern Territory and South Australia, representing only a few of the surviving Indigenous language groups.

Aboriginal elder, Oodgeroo Noonuccal, has suggested the only honourable way forward for Aboriginal land rights by the invading government. The descendents of every Aboriginal language group, or tribe, in Australia, must have some lands returned within their traditional borders. These lands must not be privatised, but returned to the first nations governing bodies to remain in the possession of these communities in perpetuity.

The undersigned demand that a share of traditional lands be returned to the communities of each Aboriginal language group in Australia.

Australian Aboriginal Generosity

I have signed this petition.

I am an "invader" to this land now called Australia (being of Anglo-Saxon blood).

In my many and varied travels i have always found the generosity of people of indigenous blood (no matter how "diluted" that blood has become), to be in so many ways superior to my own (blood line) people.
Can blood line cause such discrepancies in generosity of spirit?

To believe that would admit myself to being racist in the purest form.

The traditional sharing culture of indigenous people is the key, and what is so very sadly lacking in my own culture.

The wording of this petition makes that very clear to me.

For all we have taken... so little do they ask to be returned...
i read such an "offer" as this petition with the deepest respect and admiration, once again, the generosity of spirit shines like a beacon for all to see.
